A good link, I think

Ha! That rhymes! I feel like a kid again. But, in any case, I happened to come across this Web site, which I thought might be of interest to other people out there who are trying to become better poets.  I’ll create a link on the side, too.

I haven’t been keeping up with this blog, but I’ll try to be better. So, I’ll just add some news from other folk, for instance, the Massachusetts Poetry Festival, which has venues throughout the state from Oct. 15-18.

Did you know that Louise Gluck and Robert Pinsky will be reading in Lowell on Oct. 17? That follows a whole day of activities in the mill city.

Also, you ought to check out poetic happenings in Salem on Oct. 15, 7 p.m. at the Salem Athenaeum.  Our friend Amy Dengler (see Introducing Amy Dengler on this blog) is reading there. Other North Shore poets reading that night are: Rufus Collinson, James Connatser, Bill Coyle, Diane Kendig, Claire Keyes, Ruth Maassen, Rich Murphy, January O’Neil, John Ronan, Dan Sklar, and Suellen Wedmore.

And, also in Lowell, some of our friends will be reading during the MFA reading at Lowell City Hall, 375 Merrimack St., on Oct. 16, 5 to 6:15 p.m. , for instance, Melissa Varnarvas (although she is shy about this, so maybe I should not have said anything!).

Check it all out, http://masspoetry.org/2009/08/20/breaking-news-2009-festival-schedule-released/

That’s all for now!
